When All Is Lost People Look for Leadership!

Economic Conservatism has its roots buried deep in the Constitution. Promoting individual choice and less government intervention in the lives of Americans is what is lacking from both political parties at the moment. Republicans, democrats and the current President are elected officials that do not keep their word. When ideology conflicts with the current trend, principals are the first thing out the window. “It doesn’t matter what I said because conditions have changed and now we must do such and such,” double talk political speak.

When a nation let alone a home must borrow and spend its way to prosperity then the thread of personal honesty is coiled around a rusty heart. To expand government, necessitating higher taxes with a paltry proposal to cut spending as Obama planning to cut $100 million in waste, 0.0025% of federal spending, and this man is believed by less than 60% of voters. This proves these people want to believe in the concept of leadership so badly they will follow the pied piper off a cliff to oblivion than see the man for what he really is.

The Democratic socialist model of expanding government entitlements and increasing taxes and borrowing to fund that model while cutting basically nothing, and completely reprioritizing what Americans want with what government “feels” is best for Americans cannot possibly have a future of economic success. America is a country of independent pioneers who allowed a nation to be built around the truth that each person is free to choose their own destiny, not have governments destiny shoved down their throat.

As Reagan showed, cutting the welfare state at the same time as cutting taxes for businesses produced an employment pool and an incentive to and for Americans to again become productive. The cycle of recession turned around and the removal of big brother from American lives produced prosperity.

The Republican’s continue to show a know nothing leadership!

Sarah Palin’s decision to quit being governor of Alaska was fraught with complete negative analysis by the likes of Huckabee, Rove and Gingrich. As if these men could fore-tell the future or be man enough to publicly apologize for making erroneous hypothecations based upon their personal fears from past stupid mistakes, that would be one thing, but they are nothing but talking heads not leaders.

Americans are fed up with both parties and the lies, the fear projections of quasi politicians to tear down their future political opponent, with opinions based upon ideology rather than principals rooted in the constitution – courage, fortitude and leadership.

My comment on Palin’s leaving office is, “great, she is showing initiative, courage and leadership making a decisive move that will be best for herself and her family.”

What happened to fiscal responsibility? Under the Bush administration the republicans were red coat democrats racing to add their own brand of pork to every budget. Once trust is lost it is nearly impossible to regain, particularly in a leadership that would rather eat its own to hoist itself above the herd, than to make courageous decisions that turn our to be the right choices. If a person does what is right for their family they will do what is right for their country.

Would a parent knowingly jeopardize their child’s future with massive debts to purchase massive entitlements based upon ideology or stand tall upon principals and do what is right for their family, tighten their belt and go hunting to protect those they love from harm?

This is the character of leadership that built America the greatest nation on earth!
